Access, Booking and Choice team at the Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has a vacancy for a Capacity Planning Coordinator within the Diagnostic & Support Division.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operational management of designated specialties and line management of Inpatient/Outpatient Facilitators and Booking Coordinators within their remit.The role will involve working closely with Senior Managers and Cliniciansproviding information to inform decision making thus contributing to thedeliveryoflocalandnational access targets.
The postholder will join an established and highly skilled team andwill be responsible forensuring that agreed processesand standards are implemented and adheredto for designated specialties. The post holder will ensure Inpatient orOutpatientservicesare balancedwiththe demands of urgent and emergency clinicalworkloads within an overall integrated approach to capacity and demand management.
You will be expected to have detailed knowledge of capacity and demand management and national access targets. You will need to have experience of staff management and excellent communication skills as well as the desire to work in a patient focussed environment. You will also need to have first class organisational skills, with the ability to deal sensitively and confidently with people. A good level of attention to detail is essential to the role as is the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Ensuring all aspects of the services are supportedintermsof staffing and
resources and that staff are redeployed effectivelytomeetthe service
needs.
Will have workingknowledge of all currentaccess targetsalwaysensuring the best possible patientand trust outcome to services provided.
Meet frequently with Business Support Manager/Clinical Managersto identify and flag any issues relating to capacity and demand.
Proactively manage the Electronic Referral System (ERS) for their speciality. Review and update the Directory of Services in conjunction with the OBM; Deliver training to Clinicians within the speciality for ERS functions i.e. Reading on Line.
Actively seeking new waysof working that will assist staff to provide a
quality service at alltimes.
Contributingtosuccess against locallyand nationally agreed targets, including waiting list management, validation and adherence to RTT timeframes
To lead and manage their teams effectively in line with Trust policy and protocols.
Manages, supports and develops amotivated team through the use ofappraisal andperformancemonitoring and sickness absence management.
Isresponsible for the day-to-dayoperational management of the access andbooking targetsinrelation tothe whole patient journey for the designatedspecialties.
Will ensure a focus is maintained on customercare standards at all times andrepresentsthe serviceof Access, Booking and Choice in a professionalmanner.
